Our People

Jamie Nalton

Career progression at CLM is encouraged, everyone has access to relevant training to upskill when desired. During my transition from being ‘on the tools’ to in the Commercial Team, I used to sit in the office just to soak up as much information I could, listening and learning the terminologies and language.

SPOTLIGHT ON

Jamie Nalton

Nov 2023 – Present
Head of Public Sector

In my role as Head of Public Sector, I manage the entire public sector fireproofing division – as well as a team of commercial and account specialists. CLM’s public sector clients include a range of housing associations and local authorities.

Jan 2020 – Oct 2023
Senior Account Manager

As Senior Account Manager, Jamie oversaw the provision of fully compliant remedial fireproofing services. Working alongside Contracts Managers, Jamie supported Clients in responding to independent FRA’s by surveying, pricing, and organising effective fireproofing. In addition to this, an important part of his role was educating clients about how the latest regulations affect their buildings, and how they can best act to ensure full compliance. Through developing strong client relationships and promoting current best industry practices, Jamie guaranteed that fireproofing projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest levels of craftsmanship.

April 2019 – Dec 2019
Contracts Manager

In the role of Contracts Manager, Jamie was responsible for the end-to-end management of large-scale fireproofing projects. This included involvement within the tendering process, resourcing, project management and supporting the Commercial Managers in the production of final client accounts.

Oct 2018 – March 2019
Supervisor

Jamie supervised the Delivery Team in the application and installation of fireproofing materials and devices. Alongside ensuring that fireproofing was installed and recorded correctly by the operative team (via the BORIS system), Jamie helped to develop strong relationships with clients – often leading to repeat and referral work.

March 2017 – Sept 2018
Operative

Jamie started his career at CLM Fireproofing as an Operative. With a structured programme of learning and development (including industry certifications sponsored by CLM), Jamie quickly learned the fundamentals of effective fireproofing and applied them to a varied portfolio of projects.
