"Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the recent hard-work that is certainly being shown in the amount of works and action closures we are displaying each day/week/month. This month CLM (Fire-Stopping) had the highest number of FRA actions to clear compared with any other team/contractor on Riskhub and at this point you have closed the most actions for this month and also have the lowest amount of remaining actions. It is a pleasure to work alongside you all and long may this continue into each month.”
To honour my promise to pass on the Secretary of State for Health thanks to each and everyone of the construction teams that has been responsible in building this state-of-the-art laboratory that is not only to support the fight against COVID 19 it will be a legacy for the future for many other medical advances and means that the UK will be better prepared for another pandemic in the future.
Thank you for all your support on the incredible project that is truly something to be very proud of and please can you ensure that you share this to your whole team involved in delivering this project.”
“CLMs performance throughout the project has been excellent”
“At One Crown Place, CLM were involved from the beginning at design stage and helped develop a comprehensive project strategy for passive fire protection. Initially, this involved the application of intumescent paint to the nine-storey steel frame podium, including a high-quality decorative paint finish to residential areas. Subsequently, CLM have now installed all fire stopping works on the project, ranging from service penetration in walls and slab to cavity barriers around the perimeter of the floor plate.
CLMs performance throughout the project has been excellent, providing practical design expertise coupled with a proactive attitude on site to ensure works are completed to a high quality whilst never compromising on health and safety standards.”
"Thoroughly professional, clean, courteous"
“Contractors are by design normally disruptive, but congratulations are deserved to the team who've been working here during the last few weeks.
They have been thoroughly professional, clean, courteous, & a pleasure to have on site. Please pass on my personal appreciation!”
"I would like to extend my gratitude"
“I would like to extend my gratitude to the CLM team for all the work on the Façade firestopping.
The team have been very adaptable to the needs of the site at all times.
So I would like to say thank you to the team.”
"It is truly a pleasure to work with such a great contractor"
“Following a robust and competitive process, the Hyde four-year framework was awarded in February 2019 with CLM being awarded the Number 1 contractor on Lot 6.
CLM provide a range of services to the Hyde portfolio including; remedial compartmentation firestopping and surveys as well as technical support and guidance and CPD sessions.
It is truly a pleasure to work with such a great contractor and I very much look forward to continuing the relationship and making a bigger, positive impact with CLM. I receive only positive feedback from all stakeholders and residents that are exposed to CLM Fireproofing and would refer them to any company looking for a reliable and professional contractor that never compromises on quality and compliance.“
"CLM have demonstrated a professional service with competent operatives"
“CLM have been working alongside my team over the last 36 months providing fireproofing services as part of our fire, security and networking sectors of our business. Projects range from one stop remedials providing follow up works after major cabling projects to phased projects providing continued support to ensure the integrity of fire compartments over long periods of time.
CLM have demonstrated a professional service with competent operatives providing a flexible but structured service often in difficult surroundings particularly within our NHS and Mental Health contracts.
CLM have shown a sound knowledge and understanding of working procedures required when dealing with Acute medical and mental health environments and deliver this with essential documentation both prior to, during and after completion of their works which has proven to be essential in today’s expectation of faultless Health and Safety and proof of compliance."
Career progression at CLM is encouraged, everyone has access to relevant training to upskill when desired. During my transition from being ‘on the tools’ to in the Commercial Team, I used to sit in the office just to soak up as much information I could, listening and learning the terminologies and language.
Senior Account Manager (Jan 2020 – Present)As Senior Account Manager, Jamie oversees the provision of fully compliant remedial fireproofing services. Working alongside Contracts Managers, Jamie supports Clients in responding to independent FRA’s by surveying, pricing, and organising effective fireproofing. In addition to this, an important part of my role is educating clients about how the latest regulations affect their buildings, and how they can best act to ensure full compliance. Through developing strong client relationships and promoting current best industry practices, I guarantee that fireproofing projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest levels of craftsmanship.
Contracts Manager (April 2019 – Dec 2019)In the role of Contracts Manager, Jamie was responsible for the end-to-end management of large-scale fireproofing projects. This included involvement within the tendering process, resourcing, project management and supporting the Commercial Managers in the production of final client accounts.
Supervisor (Oct 2018 – March 2019)Jamie supervised the Delivery Team in the application and installation of fireproofing materials and devices. Alongside ensuring that fireproofing was installed and recorded correctly by the operative team (via the BORIS system), Jamie helped to develop strong relationships with clients – often leading to repeat and referral work.
Operative (March 2017 – Sept 2018)Jamie started his career at CLM Fireproofing as an Operative. With a structured programme of learning and development (including industry certifications sponsored by CLM), Jamie quickly learned the fundamentals of effective fireproofing and applied them to a varied portfolio of projects.
I started at CLM in November 2014 as a site Operative and within 5 months I began Supervising a team. My personality and work ethic thrives off being trusted with further responsibility and being a natural born leader, it was a seamless step into a Site Manager role just one year later.
Senior Contracts Manager (Jan 2021 – Present)As Senior Contracts Manager, Deivydas manages a Team of c70 Operatives and is responsible for upskilling new team members and assisting with career progression. Deivydas delivers high standards of health and safety while assisting in project design through collaboration with clients and product manufacturers. Deivydas’ unrivalled management skills allows him to deliver projects on time while effectively managing construction programmes, cost efficiencies, resource productivity and document deliverables.
Contracts Manager (June 2017 – Jan 2021)As Contracts Manager, Deivydas is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of large client accounts. This includes support in the tendering process, pricing, resource allocation, and final account management.
Site Manager (May 2016 – June 2017)As Site Manager, Deivydas was responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations on active fireproofing sites. This included managing the workloads and schedules of operative teams, dealing with subcontractors, recording stock movements, and ensuring health and safety rules were maintained. Through his efforts, projects were delivered on time and to a high standard, and strong client relationships developed.
Operative (Nov 2014 – May 2016)Deivydas started my career at CLM Fireproofing as an installer. Working across both residential and commercial clients, he installed a variety of fireproofing measures (i.e intumescent paint, fire boards, cementitious sprays) according to regulatory standards. With a strong work ethic and a commitment to industry best practices, Deivydas developed a strong understanding of the fundamentals of high-quality passive fireproofing.
Since joining CLM, I have learnt entirely new skills purely through the investment and support from the company and my colleagues – there is always someone to assist when you need it. The flexibility we are provided, and the work life balance also encourages everyone to work harder when in the office because they appreciate the balance and freedom.
Account Manager (May 2023 - current)As the Account Manager, I am responsible for ongoing account management of clients with a view of developing more opportunities and ongoing revenue, thus driving growth. I take full ownership in the management of a portfolio of clients and subsequent project lifecycle, maximising the commercial success of projects. In addition, I proactively seek out new business opportunities and seek to establish a network of contacts and referrals which I personally prospect for new business opportunities. Reporting into the Senior Account Manager, I work closely with the team to ensure successful execution of business strategies.
Assistant Commercial Manager (May 2022 – May 2023)In my role as Assistant Commercial Manager, I support the Commercial Lead by evaluating and costing up new projects and updating the Operations and Maintenance manuals for existing live jobs. I support the management of CLM Fireproofing’s remedial division, providing all general administration for our Housing Association and Local Authority clients whilst being a direct point of contact for our Key Clients Risk Hub. Due to my success interacting with clients, I have also been appointed as Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) deployed on all remedial housing projects. I manage the Survey/Feedback Process, Structured Communication Plan and the Code of Conduct Procedures.
Commercial Assistant (Dec 2019 – May 2022)I support the Commercial Managers of CLM Fireproofing in providing the gold-standard of fireproofing services. My responsibilities include processing applications and invoices, tracking payments to suppliers, and updating the Operations and Maintenance manual for live projects. My efforts ensure that each project runs smoothly whilst remaining commercially viable at a time of rapid growth.
Administrator (June 2018 – Nov 2019)As an administrator, I dealt principally with purchase ordering, covering stock management and logistics. My role also involved organising and collating documents for regulatory purposes and for use in the Operations and Maintenance Manual.
My favourite thing about our company is the incredible group of people I have the privilege to work with. From the moment I joined, I was welcomed by a team that embodies professionalism, collaboration, and a genuine passion for what we do. The supportive and positive work environment created by our colleagues has been instrumental in my growth and success.
Senior Estimator (May 2022 - current)As a Senior Estimator, I have progressed through the ranks from being a junior estimator to my current role. I am now not only responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for fire protection services but also for mentoring and guiding junior members of the team. I have developed a deep understanding of the requirements and regulations that apply to fire protection systems. I have had the privilege of participating in diverse workshops conducted by our manufacturers. These workshops have been invaluable opportunities for learning and skill development in the field of fire stopping. These workshops have allowed me to stay updated on the latest advancements in fire stopping technologies and industry trends. I am also committed to continuous learning and professional development. In this regard, I am excited to share that I have recently signed up for two upcoming courses that will further enhance my skills and knowledge in the field of fire stopping: ASFP Course in Passive Fire Protection Level 2 and a Pre-construction course run by Mace's business school.
Estimator (Dec 2020 - May 2022)In my role as Estimator, I appraise construction documentation, analyse specifications, measure, and quantify specific construction elements (via software such as CostX and Steelcalc) with impeccable accuracy. I work in CLM’s Pre-Construction Team, interpreting client and internal stakeholder needs whilst communicating analysis of projects in the pre-construction phase.
