Chapter Living
Works have started on Chapter Living in London Bridge – a 39-storey student accommodation block comprising 905 student rooms and 14,000 sq. ft of world-class, purpose-built space.
Chapter Living
The 138-metre tower requires significant, compliant fire protection due to the occupied nature of the building with CLM Fireproofing being the chosen partner. The CLM project team is carrying out firestopping and compartmentation works through walls and floors.
Due to the height of the tower, it is imperative the fire protection works are carried out in line with The Building Safety Act and associated Fire Safety Regulations and review standards. The bill applies to all residential buildings, with a particular focus on high-rise and higher-risk residential buildings. Higher-risk buildings include hospitals and care homes that are at least 18m (or seven storeys) in height and those buildings that have two or more residential units.
Chapter Living is designed to be 100% electric, with a 100% certified renewable energy supply and rooftop solar. The project aims to achieve a BREEAM rating of “Excellent” and a five-star Global Real Estate Sustainability (“GRESB”) score.
CLM Fireproofing is committed to sustainable construction, not only by working on projects that help to drive change within communities but also by investing in more environmentally friendly fire protection solutions. This project aligned perfectly with our sustainability ambitions and we eagerly await its completion.
